Feedback

When getting back our feedback from ms Pollard and our peers , we realised that we got mixed responses. Firstly we could have improved our opening with by adding, little things. For example, the Jerdazis group told us that even though our titles were good we should have had a few more titles to make it look like a opening of a film. Also, Media dons said that we could make it better by adding a few more shots of boxing scenes to make it look even more like a Boxing film. One positive feedback was the setting of our film the setting of the ring were the two fight. Our peers, liked the fact that we didn't use dialogue in the beginning made the film flow, also the music that we used was fit for the purpose. Taking  this feedback on board  we are also going to re-shoot some footage to make our film even better to get the highest grade possible.

Final Edit

Making our film (Champion) was indeed a very fun ad exciting time, we all enjoyed it very much working as a group to finsh with a outstanding opening. I think that our final clip is a huge improvement compared to our preliminary task. Even though we used a range of camera shots in our prelimnary task we used even more camera angles in our opening which made the opening effective and also understandable that it was a boxing film. Also we used many editin techniques in our opening but i think the best one was the action match because it was edited really well.I think that the titles that we made came out very nice also it has very nice effects, but i think that we could have had more titles in the beginning. Finally i think that are final edit has come out very good and will be very enjoyable to watch so enjoy watching our opening scene of our boxing film 'Champion'.

Media Studies As/A2 Practical Work Rough Draft Assessment

We showed are opening of our film to our peers and teacher and this is the feed back we got:
-We got level 3 for holding a shot steady where appropriate however this could have been improved if many of our shots were filmed without a tripod
-We got level 4 for framing a shot, including and excluding elements as appropriate
-We got level 4 for using a variety of shot distances as appropriate
-We got level 2 for shooting material appropriate to the task set the way we could get this level up is by using more evidence of his boxing career in his bedroom.
-We got level 2 for editing so that the meaning is apparent to the task set. The way we could get this level up is by creating more meaning such as show how he got a big match coming up soon.
-We got level 3 for using varied shot transitions, captions, and other effects selectively and appropriately for the task set. The way we could get this level up is by not fading to black also we could apply effect to the dream sequence to make it more effective.
-We got level 2 for using sound with images and editing appropriately for the task set.The way we could get this level up is by putting music in also we could create a production company credit.
