Dilwar's Pitch

  1. I actually kind of like Dilwars idea but it need to fit the genre they are doing. He could be a boxer could be in drama to create more of a action and doent want to fight out of the ring but he has no choice.

  2. I really like this idea however I feel like the genre could be better established, so in order to improve perhaps think of ways you can make the film opening more fitting to the genre

  3. Im not too sure what genre is but i do like your idea. I think you should do the idea of having the boy startin at a grave with a voice over of his 'dad' talking about boxing, him and things etc.. then maybe see him in a boxing gym gloves on and the other appropriate costumes on looking in a mirror or at the gloves followed by some dialogue "this is for you dad" and maybe see him walk fading into black then have the title appear :)

  4. The idea with the dad being good at boxing and the son living up to it,, but maybe can't because of his living cirumstance etc. is really good. I agree with selysia's idea on how to get his father's story acrossed to the audience and maybe you can end the opening with maybe him looking at a leaflet of a big match that may give him reward of money to help is situation. Something that reflects abit of the continuing narrative or showing the twist, maybe.

  5. Dilwar's pitch seems to be more clear than Aslam's. The idea is good and seems to appeal to me more than Aslam's also. Voice-overs of the boxer at the grave of his father can be shown to add to the dramatic effect.

  6. I like this pitch very much. It could be a promising bit of work. You should research films with boxing scenes in to work out how you will film it. Try watching clips from the following films: Raging Bull (Scorsese, 1980), Million Dollar Baby (Eastwood, 2004), Tewnty-Four Seven (Meadows, 1997).

  7. I think this pitch is better than Aslam's. This is because it is more clear to understand what is going on and the genre is clear to understand.
